That’s right, chilluns! Your Mom, Dad and older, disco-playing siblings had their own version of Duck Hunt before it was released on the NES as a video game. You see, Duck Hunt was originally created in 1976 by Nintendo as a light gun game.

Duck Hunt came with a battery-powered projector that produced moving ducks and a light gun. Both the ducks and the gun made the same sounds as the video game did. Pretty neat, huh?

This now explains why my Mom could kick my butt at the game when I was a kid. She had played the game before I was born.
