If you enjoyed Resident Evil Village but thought, “hmm, I’d like this to be much closer to my face,” I have some good news for you. The latest non-remake installment in Capcom’s iconic series is now out on iPhone and iPad devices.
You can check out the launch trailer below. Basically, it’s the full game (plus DLC if you want to go down that route) made playable on mobile phones and tablets. The game is compatible with iPhone 15 Pro and “all iPads with the M1 chip or later.”
The trailer also states that the “story opening can be played for free,” but you’ll obviously need to pay for the full experience. The game thankfully features controller support for those don’t fancy using the on-screen touch buttons (i.e. everyone). Even the App Store recommends using a control pad.

On top of that, Resident Evil 4 Remake is also coming to Apple products. We don’t quite know when, but the App Store listing shows December 31 as a placeholder date.
You can, however, pre-order the game. Much like Resident Evil Village, RE4 on iPad will require an M1 chip or later and iOS 17.
It’s a grand old time if you’re into horror games through your phone. While mobile gaming as a market tends to divide people, this could well represent the next stage in being able to play AAA titles on the go (Steam Deck who?).
