Sunfury Mages are aided in battle by a mighty Spellfire Phoenix, further enhancing their most devastating incantations. Primarily making use of its Spellfire Phoenix, these are the Hero Talent choices for Sunfury Mage:

  • Spellfire Spheres (Passive) – Every 4 times you consume Clearcasting, conjure a Spellfire Sphere. While youā€™re out of combat, you will slowly conjure Spellfire Spheres over time. Spellfire Spheres increase your spell damage by 4%. Stacks up to 3 times.
  • Mana Addiction (Passive) – Consuming Clearcasting grants you 3% Haste for 10 sec. Multiple instances may overlap.
  • Invocation: Arcane Phoenix (Passive) When you cast Arcane Surge, summon an Arcane Phoenix to aid you in battle. Your Arcane Phoenix aids you for the duration of your Arcane Surge, casting random Arcane and Fire spells. Over its duration, your Arcane Phoenix will consume each of your Spellfire Spheres to cast an exceptional spell.
  • Burden of Power (Passive) – Conjuring a Spellfire Sphere causes your next Arcane Blast or Arcane Barrage to deal 50% increased damage.
  • Merely a Setback (Passive) – Your Prismatic Barrier now grants 5% avoidance while active and 5% leech for 5 seconds when it breaks or expires.
  • 2 Possible Choices
    • Lessons in Debilitation (Passive) – Your Arcane Phoenix now has a chance to cast Gravity Lapse or Supernova as exception spells and will periodically Spellsteal buffs from nearby enemies.
    • Gravity Lapse (Instance, 40 yd range, replaces Blast Wave) – 30 sec cooldown – The snap of your fingers warps the gravity around your target and two other nearby enemies, suspending them in the air for 3 sec. Upon landing, nearby enemies take 4,347 Arcane damage.
  • Glorious Incandescence – Consuming Burden of Power causes your next cast of Arcane Orb to call down a storm of 8 Meteorites on the first target it damages. Each Meteoriteā€™s impact reduces the cooldown of Arcane Orb by 1.0 sec and generates an Arcane Charge.
  • 2 Possible Choices
    • Overflowing Power (Passive) – When you cast Arcane Surge, its duration is extended by 0.5 sec for each Spellfire Sphere you have, up to 2.5 sec.
    • Sunfury Execution (Passive) – Arcane Bombardment damage bonus increased to 130%. Arcane Barrage deals an additional 100% damage against targets below 35% health.
  • Codex of the Sunstriders (Passive) – Summoning your Arcane Phoenix grants you a Spellfire Sphere. Your Arcane Phoenix can now cast Greater Pyroblast and Arcane Surge when casting an exceptional spell.
  • 2 Possible Choices
    • Rondurmancy (Passive) – Spellfire Spheres can now stack up to 5 times.
    • Ignite the Future (Passive) – Generating a Spellfire Sphere while your Phoenix is active causes it to cast an exceptional spell.
  • Memory of Alā€™ar (Passive) – While your Arcane Phoenix is active, you gain twice as many stacks of Mana Addiction. When your Arcane Phoenix expires, it empowers you, granting Arcane Soul for 3 sec, plus an additional 1 sec for each exceptional spell it had cast.
