Blizzard have rolled out a new, huge patch for everyone’s favourite destroyer of lives, World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor.

Patch 6.2, dubbed Fury of Hellfire, brings a lot of new additions to the game. The Tanaan Jungle, a new zone, will be accessible after completing a ship-building quest line in your garrison. Once it’s complete, you’ll also have access to further nautical missions, in a system not unlike the brotherhood feature in Assassin’s Creed.

Tanaan will have a new chapter-based quest campaign and new mission hubs too, but the main event is a new raid zone: the 13 encounter strong Hellfire Citadel. Sometimes I just can’t help but cringe at WoW’s naming conventions.

With the new dungeons comes further changes to the dungeon system in general. A new mythic difficulty has been added for those who may be finding them a bit too easy. This new difficulty will be available for the Warlords of Draenor dungeons.

A new interesting feature is Timewalking – the ability to scale your equipment down to allow you to return to dungeons from older expansions like Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King. The equipment you get from completing one of these dungeons will be appropriate to your character’s level, meaning it isn’t a total waste of time.

You can read the full patch notes on the Blizzard site. I only just started playing WoW a few days ago, so all this stuff is a bit far off yet for me. WoW firmly has its talons in me, and its beak is slowly pecking away at my skull.
