Will The Island come to WWE 2K25 PC?

The Island is certainly one of the most promising additions made to WWE 2K25, but it’s only available on the current-gen console version.

The mode, which lets you fulfill your own dream of becoming a professional wrestler, is available on the Xbox Series X|S and the PS5. This has left many PC users quite upset, and you can find some of the anger pouring out on the Steam reviews.

While the mode isn’t available on PC, many have hoped that 2K will eventually add it as part of a future update. Sadly, it’s extremely unlikely that the mode will be added to the PC version this year, and the reason for this is largely the same as why it wasn’t included in the first place.

Why is The Island not on WWE 2K25 PC

Lynell Jinks explained the reason behind the mode’s exclusion in an interview with Wccftech. Jinks, who is WWE 2K25‘s creative director explained that they were unsure about the potential performance of the mode on PC, and having hackers on the platform is another reason.

“It’s one of those things where we look at, can we ensure quality on all the different SKUs and different PCs?” Jinks explained. “Because this game is basically maxed to the limits. Also, could the hackers basically destroy the economy or break the game in ways to where it ruins the balancing, it ruins the progression, and now you have a really unbalanced experience given how that mode is set up.”

The two reasons are pretty valid, as we have seen 2K keep similar modes away from PC users for a long time in the NBA 2K series. Eventually, the PC version of NBA 2K25 was upgraded to current-gen, so we should eventually have something similar on the PC version of a WWE game.

For the time being, WWE 2K25 doesn’t have The Island mode on PC, and that’s likely going to remain that way for the foreseeable future. It doesn’t necessarily mean that everything about the PC version is bad. At the end of the day, there are plenty of other modes to enjoy and superstars to unlock. The PC version is also cheaper than the current-gen console version, so it might be the right way for you if you’re on a short budget.
