Final Fantasy XIV Female Hrothgar

Who voices Wuk Lamat, FFXIV’s first female Hrothgar?

An epic voice for the first Female Hrothgar we will encounter

In the full Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail trailer, we got our first look at a female Hrothgar. While player’s will have the option of making their character a female Hrothgar, we’re also getting a new female Hrothgar main character: Wuk Lamat. Lamat features some superb voice acting, leading some to wonder: who voices FFXIV’s first female Hrothgar, Wuk Lamat?

Who is the voice behind Wuk Lamat?

The voice behind Wuk Lamat is Sena Bryer, a voice actor, writer, and game developer. Bryer took to Twitter to confirm she did the voice of Wuk Lamat in Final Fantasy XIV.

I am so so so honored to be the voice of Wuk Lamat in Final Fantasy XIV!

Fans wanting more Lamatā€”and therefore more Bryer voice actingā€”won’t have to wait long. It looks like players are introduced to Wuk Lamat in patch 6.55 for Final Fantasy XIV which actually released today. Lamat has come to visit Old Sharlayan to seek counsel with the player ahead of the journey we will wake in Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail. Players can also talk to Krile in the patch, who is making her debut as a Pictomancer, one of the playable Jobs in the Dawntrail expansion.

According to Bryer’s website, she has also done voice work for other games including Aether Gazer,Hearthstone, Helvetii, Need for Speed: Unbound and Friendsim 2.

What about the player?

Even though the player can choose to be a female Hrothgar in the new expansion, the player’s character does not have voice lines in Final Fantasy XIV. I’m sure we’ll meet other female Hrothgar in the Dawntrail expansion, but for now, Wuk Lamat is the only one we can talk to!
