One of these pieces of gear is the Strange Conduit Ring. Luckily, you can pick it up during the first act of the game. It’s an uncommon ring that is perfect for any character that uses the Hunter’s Mark divination spell, but especially Rangers. We’ll show you where to pick this ring up.

How to get the Strange Conduit Ring in Baldur’s Gate 3

The Strange Conduit Ring is located in the Inquisitor’s Chamber found in the Githyanki Crèche Y’llek, inside of the elegant chest. The exact coordinates are X: 1360 Y: -657. Once you open the chest, you’ll get the ring in your inventory.

You can get to the Inquisitor’s Chamber during Act 1. Head west of Waukeen’s Rest to the Mountain Pass, and once you’re on the Mountain Pass go northeast. You will pass through the Rosymery Monastery and soon reach the Crèche Y’llek. Inside of the Crèche, keep heading north.

Eventually, you will find that the Inquisitor’s Chamber is guarded by Commander Kith’rak Therezzyn. In order to enter the chambers, you either need to convince her to give you a Githyanki Barrier Disruptor or kill her to get a hold of it. Convincing her is much easier if you can manage since you’ll have another fight inside.

How to beat Githyanki Inquisitor Ch’r’ai W’wargaz

Whatever you choose, you’ll then be able to lower the barrier using the Githyanki Barrier Disruptor. Inside the Inquisitor’s Chambers is the Inquisitor Ch’r’ai W’wargaz, who you’ll need to beat to open the elegant chest. For this fight, since W’wargaz has the Mindsteal Link ability, don’t bring in any additional allies to the fight, like familiars or hordes of undead.

You will also have to deal with several enemies during this fight that help the Inquisitor, so try to take out the Raider first, as they’ll cause the most trouble. You can also become invisible during this fight to try to take out the other opponents first. Either way, it’s best to deal with the others before targeting the Inquisitor himself.

Once you’ve beaten the Inquisitor, simply open the elegant chest and you’ll be rewarded with the Strange Conduit Ring.

Strange Conduit Ring Properties

As mentioned, the Strange Conduit Ring works best with the Hunter’s Mark spell. This ring can give you additional damage while concentrating with your attacks by stacking the 1d6 Bludgeoning of the spell with the 1d4 Psychic from the ring.

Rangers in particular will find this gear incredibly useful, so if your Tav is a Ranger or uses Hunter’s Mark often, you don’t want to miss this ring. Additionally, this is one of the best rings you can find in Act 1, so if you can, make it a priority to get it.
