Where to find Sea Ganoderma in Genshin Impact

Sea Ganoderma are local specialties of Inazuma, used to Ascend certain characters. Here are all Sea Ganoderma locations in Genshin Impact, including wild spawns and merchants.

Sea Ganoderma can be found growing in shallow water around the islands of Inazuma. You can find a comprehensive list of all Sea Ganoderma locations in the official interactive map. There are 159 marked locations in total. Like all local specialties, Sea Ganoderma respawn 48 hours after harvesting.

The largest concentrations are on Kannazuka, around the Kujou Encampment and in the shallows north of Tatarasuna. Some locations on Seirai Island and Tsurumi Island may not be accessible to you until you finish each island’s respective World Quests.

I recommend bringing a tall male character while searching for these, since taller characters can wade into deeper water without taking a movement speed penalty. If you have Gorou, consider slotting him into your party, since his passive Talent will highlight Inazuman local specialties on your minimap.

Merchants that sell Sea Ganoderma

Sea Ganoderma can be purchased from Obata outside of his fishing hut in Ritou. You can find him on the docks selling fish and other seafood. His stock includes five Sea Ganoderma priced at 5,000 Mora each. Obata’s shop restocks every three days.

If you’re short on Mora, try talking to Mirai just outside of Bourou Village on Watatsumi Island. She is a little girl wearing a short purple kimono. Following a certain dialogue path for the first time will grant you four Sea Ganoderma for free.

Can you grow Sea Ganoderma?

Sea Ganoderma can be grown in your Serenitea Pot from cuttings. You will need to have unlocked both your Serenitea Pot and the Seed Dispensary gadget. Equip your Seed Dispensary in your active gadget slot, and you will automatically receive a cutting when you harvest a wild Sea Ganoderma. You can hold a maximum of 20 cuttings at a time, but if you run out, you can buy some from Tubby, your Serenitea Pot spirit. 

Plant your cuttings in the Orderly Meadow furnishing in your Serenitea Pot. You can have two Orderly Meadows at a time, and they have four planting spots each. Sea Ganoderma take three days to grow, so you’ll be able to farm a total of eight Sea Ganoderma every three days.

How to use Sea Ganoderma

Sea Ganoderma are used as character Ascension materials for Kaedehara Kazuha and Yae Miko. You will need 168 Sea Ganoderma in total to Ascend a character from level 1 to 90.
