There are plenty of secrets to uncover in Hyrule, and each well, cave, and island potentially hosts a new adventure. It can be overwhelming at times, especially for completionists who hope to engage with every aspect of the game. Fortunately, there are Old Maps scattered around. Find them, and they lead Link to a hidden treasure.

This guide will explain where to find Old Maps in Tears of the Kingdom.

What Are Old Maps in Tears of the Kingdom?

Old Maps are found in treasure chests. Find one and a spot on the map will be marked with an “X” on Link’s Purah Pad. Head to these spots in the Depths, as there are treasures there. If you’ve found the item already, the Old Map won’t waste your time sending you there again.

Where to find Old Maps in Tears of the Kingdom?

The Old Maps have been placed on the various sky islands. In most cases, the challenge lies with finding the treasure chests. Sometimes, a Flux Construct will stand in the way. These enemies can be tricky because they are made out of Zonai blocks, and they can change their shape. The following locations have been verified to hold Old Maps, though there are more maps to be found:

Flux Construct Old Maps

1. The Old Map is found on the first island of the Ring Island Chain above the Hebra Mountains. The coordinates are: -3449, 3503, 0930. The treasure chest is stuck to a Flux Construct I.

2. Another Flux Construct I holds an Old Map in the West Hebra Sky Archipelago. The coordinates are: -3828, 2725, 0544.

3. a Flux Construct II is holding an Old Map on a South Hyrule Sky Archipelago island. The coordinates are: -1327, -1549, 0801.

4. A Flux Construct III guards an Old Map in the North Akkala Sky Archipelago. The coordinates are: 3300, 3426, 0794.

5. Defeat a Flux Construct III on Thunderhead Isles, and an Old Map will be yours. Find it at: 1124, -3287, 0757.

Hidden Old Maps

1. In the West Hebra Sky Archipelago, an Old Map is hidden on a small sky island north of the Ijo-O Shrine. The coordinates are: -3860, 2921, 0747.

2. North Tabantha Sky Archipelago has an Old Map sitting at the bottom of a pond. Jump onto a lilypad and use Ultrahand to fish out the treasure chest. You’ll find it at the following coordinates: -3417, 1437, 1196.

3. An Old Map can be found in the Tabantha Sky Archipelago, west of Lightcast Island. The coordinates are: -3961, 0609, 1708.

4. South of Lightcast Island, an Old Map can be found tied to a string. Use an arrow to break the string and claim the map at the following coordinates: -3635, 0462, 1661.

5. In the North Gerudo Sky Archipelago, there is another Old Map. The coordinates are: -3372, 0015, 2323.

6. Head to East Hebra Sky Archipelago for another Old Map. It hangs from a string around the following coordinates: -1723, 3454, 0952.

7. The South Hyrule Sky Archipelago holds an Old Map hanging from a cross-shaped structure. Use Ultrahand on the controls at the adjacent island to rotate the cross until the treasure chest’s string has wrapped around the arm of the cross. From there, the map is easy to retrieve. The coordinates are -1264, -1431, 1007.

8. Don’t leave the South Hyrule Sky Archipelago just yet, as there’s another map at these coordinates:-1456, -1585, 1220.

9. Yet another Old Map hanging from a string can be found in the South Hyrule Sky Archipelago. The coordinates are -0814, -1588, 0861.

10. The northern island of East Gerudo Sky Archipelago holds an Old Map. It is guarded by a flame-emitting Zonai device so be careful. The precise coordinates are -1955, 01808, 1167.
