Where to find Japanese liquor bottles in Warzone’s DMZ

There’s only one place to find these

DMZ has plenty of items for players to scavenge and extract, many of which are tied directly to in-game challenges or missions. One of the most obscure items you need to extract in DMZ for a mission is the Japanese liquor bottle.

The game gives you no indication of where to find these bottles or even if that’s their real name. Thankfully, I have your back on how to complete this mission and find them.

Japanese liquor bottles, explained

First and foremost, the in-game mission calls them “Japanese liquor bottles” but they won’t appear as that in Warzone DMZ matches themselves. Instead, the proper name for these items is Ashika liquor. This is the item you should be looking for when you are doing challenges like this one.

There is a particular mission where players must find and extract 16 of these bottles, which is quite a lot. It doesn’t help, either, that these bottles are pretty rare in the game.

Where to find Ashika liquor bottles in DMZ

Now that you know what you are looking for, there is only really one place where you can find Ashika liquor bottles in DMZ. As you might have guessed from the name, you’ll want to dive into a DMZ match on Ashika Island.

This is the only map in DMZ where you are able to find these Japanese liquor bottles at this time. Worse, though, they aren’t even that common on the small island itself. You’ll need to head to a specific location on the island to find the liquor bottles that you need.

That place is none other than the Beach Club on Ashika Island, as shown in the map above. You want to go inside here and look mainly in the fridges that you find in the club area in the southwestern corner of the map. That is the best spot to find these bottles. You likely won’t be able to get all 16 in one match, either, so take your time.

That said, some players are reporting a bug in extracting these Ashika liquor bottles. There is an issue where some players don’t have the game count the bottles they extract if they are using a scavenger backpack. In addition, some players have the opposite problem where it doesn’t count unless they have a scavenger bag equipped.

Be sure to experiment and see if these bottles count for you before grinding matches to find all 16. If you are completely unable to find bottles to count for this mission, be sure to reach out to Activision Support so that, hopefully, a permanent fix can be found for this soon.
