Call of Duty Warzone 2.0ā€™s DMZ mode continues to expand with each new season. The latest addition is a new NPC boss known as The Scavenger. His job is to find you, take you out, and steal all of the precious gear that youā€™ve found around the map. But hereā€™s what you can do to get the drop on him first.

How to find The Scavenger in DMZ Warzone 2.0

The Scavenger is the ultimate challenge in DMZ in Season 3. The new NPC boss offers an assortment of weapons, gear, and other items for defeating him. If you want some of the best gear possible in DMZ, The Scavenger is who you want.

Unfortunately, finding him isnā€™t as easy as some of the past bosses. He randomly spawns on both Ashika Island and Al Mazrah. In some matches, he will immediately be on the map. Other times, youā€™ll have to follow certain procedures to force him to spawn on the map.

The goal is to lure him out using the death of your fellow operators. He usually has a chance of appearing once another player has died in the DMZ lobby. It is even easier if you can find the personā€™s body and loot them to find The Scavengerā€™s calling card.

If you can loot and find three of these off of your fellow players, he is guaranteed to show up then. The game will notify you whenever you are close to him, giving you a chance to gather the best gear you can and prepare for the toughest fight in DMZ in Season 3.

How to eliminate The Scavenger

Finding The Scavenger is only half of the problem. Eliminating him is the other half, which is so much easier said than done. At bare minimum, you’ll need two completely geared up companions that you can actively communicate with.

The Scavenger is an unbelievably challenging NPC boss with a ghillie suit and some strong weapons. Worse still, he brings along a full squad of armored enemies. I recommend taking out the adds first, as they are slightly easier to stop than The Scavenger.

Once you defeat them, focus your full firepower on The Scavenger. If things start to go south, consider having one of your teammates retreat to keep your squad in the fight. Killstreaks, self-revives, and plenty of ammo are must-haves for this battle.

Once you successfully defeat The Scavenger, youā€™ll get his treasure trove of drops. Pick up whatever you want, divide it between your team, and make sure to exfiltrate before another squad gets the drop on you.
