Ashwinder Eggs in Hogwarts Legacy are the embers of dying flames slithering into dark corners, but they are valuable in the game. They sound gross and look wicked too but are ingredients for Edurus Potions.

You’ll have to scour the open world and find specific environments to encounter Ashwinder Eggs in Hogwarts Legacy. If you follow our instructions, you’ll be able to make Edurus Potions in no time.

If you don’t want to scout around the Scottish highlands for Ashwinder Eggs, you can purchase them from J.J. Pippin’s Potions. The store is located in Hogsmeade right next to the West Hogsmeade Floo Powder point. It’s expensive, however, as each egg will cost 150 Gold. If you want to quickly make Edurus Potions, however, this might be the best option for you.

You can also get Lacewing Flies and Wiggeneweld Potions from this store.

Ashwinder Eggs can be found within rocky areas of the open world. Mountainous and hilly areas often have Ashwinder Eggs around, glowing in red. Like Lacewing Flies, they’re easier to spot at night but they can be found during the day too.

One nearby area you can find Ashwinder Eggs is behind the Hogwarts Quidditch pitch. Go to the Mooncalf Den Floo Powder fast travel point, and look for various locations where rocks have a crumbly texture slumping towards the ground. Cast Revelio along the way and if you see a vague golden outline of a nest, you’re nearby some Ashwinder Eggs.

Once you’re able to operate a broom around the world of Hogwarts Legacy, keep scaling up mountainous regions to see Ashwinder Eggs laying around.

What can you make with Ashwinder Eggs?

After you’ve collected enough Ashwinder Eggs, return back to The Room of Requirement or the Potions classroom.

Once you’re in front of a cauldron, you can make Edurus Potion, which will increase your defense stats against enemy attacks for 20 seconds. You’ll need one Ashwinder Egg and one Mongrel Fur to create the potion. When you’ve compiled both of the ingredients, it will only take 30 seconds to brew.
