The action really amps up in Chapter 4 of Life is Strange: Double Exposure, and it’s easy to get distracted by the rapidly developing story, but you’ll still need to be on the lookout for collectible Polaroids in each scene.

There are a total of four Polaroids to be discovered and collected throughout Chapter 4 of Double Exposure, and each of them is accompanied by an audio clip of the moment in which it was taken. Some are harder to find than others, but here are all of Chapter 4’s Polaroids.

All Polaroid locations in Chapter 4 of Life is Strange: Double Exposure

For each of the four Polaroids, let’s go through precisely how to find them, including which timeline you need to be present in. We’ll also list how to get back to each Polaroid if you missed it during your first experience of Chapter 4.

Polaroid #1 – Johnny Cakes

After the interesting events that finish off Chapter 3, Max and Safi will end up back at Max’s house in the Living World. After a lot of much-needed discussion, you’ll eventually gain control of Max and be able to go look for the first Polaroid.

To find it, you’ll need to be in the Dead World, so make use of the portal by the door to get there as soon as you have control. When you’re in the right timeline, head back into the living room and to the coffee table next to the easel in the corner. The first Polaroid can be found on the table.

In case you got swept up by the events of the story the first time around, you can get back to this Polaroid pretty easily by selecting “I Thought I Was the Only One” under “Diptych” in Chapter Select.

Polaroid #2 – Krampus on Kampus.

After coming up with a plan to expose Lucas, Safi and Max will head to the Snapping Turtle bar. Once there, surrounded by Krampus decorations and with the promise of exciting events ahead of you, you can find the second Polaroid.

Again, you’ll need to use a portal to switch timelines as soon as you have control of Max to find it. Use the portal by the bathrooms to make your way to the Dead World, then go back into the bar. The second Polaroid can be found on the table to the right of the stage.

If you’re heading back in through Chapter Select, this Polaroid (as well as Polaroid #3) can be found in the “No Party Like a Krampus Party” scene under “Diptych.”

Polaroid #3 – Veggie.

While this Polaroid can be found in the same scene as the previous one, it requires a lot more effort. If you’re going back to get it through Chapter Select, be warned that you’ll need to play through a significant amount of the events from the scene to gain access to the Polaroid.

It can be found on the patio outside, but you won’t be able to get out there until you’ve done all of the following:

  • Talked to Gwen
  • Talked to Reggie
  • Sabotaged Olga the projector
  • Had Moses fix the projector and take over from Reggie

Once you’ve done all that, you can talk to Safi and begin the roast. This is when Safi will leave and use her shapeshifting abilities to take the form of Loretta to prevent Lucas from leaving the bar before the plan can be put into action. Head outside to back her up, but make sure to pick up the Polaroid on the green chair first, or you’ll lose your chance.

Polaroid #4 – What the fuck???

After the events at the Snapping Turtle, and after Safi has been told the “whole truth” by Lucas and runs off, leaving behind a trail of destruction and a horribly familiar storm, Max will return to the North Quad. This is where you’ll find the fourth and final Polaroid for Chapter 4.

To find it, take the path forward and make your way toward the shelter where you picked up the Abraxas Puzzle Box in Chapter 1. On the left table in the Shelter, you’ll find the final Polaroid.

If you want to get back here through Chapter Select, select “Diptych” and then “Scatterbrained.”
