A Squid in Disney Dreamlight Valley provides delicious seafood for you and your friends across the village. It can be found in two separate areas of the game, but one is easier to access.
Squid Disney Dreamlight Valley location
You’ll be able to find a Squid in Disney Dreamlight Valley by fishing within the waters of the Glade of Trust and the Forgotten Lands. Go to the ponds or rivers within these biomes and try to spot a blue ripple within the water. This is when Squid can be caught, but you may end up with another sea creature instead. Tap the button or LMB three times in rhythm and you’ll likely catch a Squid. It was easy to find them within the Glade of Trust.
If you don’t see any blue ripples straight away, fish from the white or gold circle anyway. After catching the fish from that moment, there’s a chance it switches to blue. Also, make sure to bring a companion who specializes in fishing. I had Mirabel and when I caught a fish, the game increased her friendship level, and she gave me extra Squid a few times. Muy bueno!
What to do with Squid
If you decide to sell the Squid to Goofy’s Stall, you’ll get 500 Star Coins each. That’s a fair amount by itself. You can also make some awesome dishes at Chez Remy or at your own stove. For example, Seafood Pasta can be made with one Squid (or any other seafood like Shrimp), Wheat, and Milk. You can sell it for 1,024 Star Coins or get 2,505 Energy from it. It may also be requested as a dish at Chez Remy. It’s unlikely as they’re more into bugs, but maybe Timon and Pumbaa might order it. It’s more appetizing than Skeleton Fish anyway.
