Hardcore lore nuts will probably love it

I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve spent watching people prepare and eat food inĀ Final Fantasy XIV. The food culture in the game is pretty insane, especially since every hardcore player eats food constantly as a way to keep buffs topped off for endgame content. It’s even spawned sites like A Recipe Reborn, as folks have followed the creation of new types of food throughout the lifetime of the game. Now people can enjoy, officially, a Final Fantasy XIV cookbook.

Revealed on Amazon this morning, the synopsis for the Final Fantasy XIV cookbook (subtitled “The Essential Culinarian Guide to Hydaelyn”) is pretty straightforward and gets the point across:

“Journey through the rich culinary landscape of Final Fantasy XIV. Featuring favorite flavors from across Hydaelyn and Norvrandt and easy-to-follow instructions, this tome provides numerous tips on how to make the most of your ingredients. Start your day with Farmerā€™s Breakfast, a very famous and simple-yet-delightful dish; savor the Knightā€™s Bread of Coerthas; dive into La Nosceaā€™s Rolanberry Cheesecake, and many more.”

It’ll also sport an “exclusive foreword” by Naoki “Yoshi P” Yoshida, and is aimed at “cooks of all skill levels,” sporting “over 70 recipes.” The Final Fantasy XIV cookbookĀ is currently slated for a November 9, 2021 release, and retails at $35 for a hardcover edition on Amazon.

The gallery below, which you can zoom into and see in all its glory, confirms the additional recipes of the Dodo Omelet, the Starlight Dodo, a Coffee Biscuit, and Warwine.
