The capital of the Freestar Collective, Akila City, is home to the Freestar Rangers and various side quests. It’s also the native home to companion and crewmate Sam Coe. The city was founded in 2167 by Sam’s ancestor, Solomon Coe. Over time the settlement became a regional trade hub and an integral location for the Freestar Collective. With so much to do, you may be wondering where Akila City is in Starfield.
How to get to Akila City
In order to reach Akila City, you must first head to the Cheyenne system. The system is northeast of Sol and Alpha Centauri, almost straight north of Olympus, and a little to the east. Once there, look for the earthlike planet of Akila, the second planet from the sun. Upon scanning Akila, you will see Akila City. If you are having trouble finding the system, look at the screenshot above to see where exactly it is.
If you are following the main story missions, fellow Constellation member Sam Coe will eventually accompany you on a mission to Akila City. Simply following the indicated mission objective marker will bring you to Akila City as well.
What can you do at Akila City in Starfield?
When you first visit Akila City, a local gang will be holding up the bank. You will get a mission called Job Gone Wrong where you can assist the Freestar Rangers with ending the bank heist. We recommend attempting to persuade the robbers to end the shenanigans peacefully.
If you are on the main story mission with Sam Coe, you will want to complete it as it progresses your story and unlocks more things to do. Sam will want you to visit the bank in Akila City to progress this mission.
After ending the bank robbery, you are also invited to join the Freestar Rangers. The Freestar Rangers are essentially the protective and investigative police force of the Freestar Collective. Enlisting with the faction will give you several progressive missions specific to the Freestar Rangers. Upon completing the Freestar Rangers missions you will receive the Star Eagle Ship and officially become a Freestar Ranger!
