Where in the manga did DAN DA DAN anime end?

That cliffhanger shouldn't be legal.

The DAN DA DAN anime has captured the hearts of fans with its unique blend of supernatural elements, humor, and thrilling action. But while the first season was an absolute banger, it isn’t without flaws. After all, it ended its first season in a terrible cliffhanger, leaving fans in a state of disarray. That may be an exaggeration… or maybe not.

Fortunately, the wait won’t be that long. The second season is already slated to air in July 2025. But for those who can’t wait, there’s always the option of reading the manga. Naturally, that begs the question of where the DAN DA DAN Season 1 ends in the manga. The specific scene wherein Jiji and Okarun found the mysterious room would be the start of Chapter 34, so anime fans may simply start reading from there.

The Dandadan manga can be read for free through MANGA Plus or VIZ.

DAN DA DAN’s Cursed House Arc

Season 1 does a good job setting up the Cursed House Arc. The story starts with Jiji approaching Seiko to help exorcise his house. However since Seiko’s power is only limited to her territory, she sent Momo to do the deed instead. While she couldn’t find powerful spirit energy at first, things became disastrous after Okarun and Jiji discovered the mysterious room.

Immediately after their discovery, the house was visited by Jiji’s landlord, the Kito family. Coincidentally, the group of creepy perverts haunting Momo in the hot spring also came from the same clan. They proceeded to harass Jiji and Okarun, intending to offer them alongside Momo to the so-called Tsuchinoko.

While the Tsuchinoko technically haunted the house, the being Jiji kept seeing would be another entity. Interestingly, it would be both a blessing and a curse.
