Waiting for Kafka

Honkai: Star RailĀ starts with you controlling not the protagonist, but two travelers on a heist: Silver Wolf and Kafka. And now that players are getting into the story content and saving up passes, some might wonder when they can roll for their own Kafka.

So the question is, when will Kafka be available for players to put onto theirĀ Honkai: Star RailĀ team?

When will Kafka get a banner inĀ Honkai Star Rail?

At this point in time, there isĀ no confirmation of when or if Kafka will get her own banner. Speculation would point towards this being an eventual likelihood. After all, she’s playable in the prologue and seems to play an important role in Honkai: Star Rail‘s story.

Fans have certainly been eager to roll for her as well. There are quite a few characters inĀ Honkai: Star RailĀ already to roll for, ranging from the Departure Warp (a beginner-oriented banner with special discounts) and Stellar Warp (sometimes referred to as the “standard”) to character-specific events to roll on.

Yet Kafka has not been locked in. This current event banner spotlights Seele, and the next one should feature Jing Yuan. Since Kafka is a presumptive five-star character, she’ll likely feature in her own banner. Another event could feature her, but all of that is only speculation for now. At this time, we don’t know when Kafka will be available, but we’ll update this page as new info arrives.

How do banners work?

If you’re new to the concept of gacha games and dipping a toe into the water, “banner” is the colloquial term for special events to roll the gacha on, that often rotate in and out with limited time windows. Think of it like different machines, all with their own prizes inside.

Often, new or high-value characters will be the featured character on a banner. In Honkai: Star Rail, they are called Warps, and use two different currencies: Star Rail Passes, for the Departure/Stellar Warp, and Special Passes, which are for character-specific events. Rolling on those events gives you a higher chance of getting the featured character, and so players will often save up rolls they earn through play so they can go for specific characters.
