When does the Astro Bot DLC come out?

According to an interview with Team Asobi’s Studio Director, the Astro Bot DLC will be released in late 2024. It will be completely free to play and shouldn’t be too monumental in file size.

While there aren’t too many details about Astro Bot’s DLC launch, we know it will include speedruns. You may remember this feature from Astro’s Playroom, where players could quickly go through levels in the Network Speed Run. Astro Bot will likely have a similar hub and may have some new trophies to conquer. Plus, it will have leaderboards associated with other players to see who reigns victorious.

The interview also confirms the introduction of new VIP bots for you to collect. So, even if you already collected the 100s of cameo bots, you’ll have much more to look forward to with the new update.

New VIP bots will likely be involved in the new challenging levels. Hopefully, they won’t be as daunting as the end-game’s Great Master Challenge, a course that unlocks a hidden trophy.

Fans have begun to speculate who the upcoming VIP bots could be, especially since the credits hinted at a few titles. Those stuck toward the game’s end will notice titles like Rayman, Assassin’s Creed, and Stellar Blade.
