When can you change jobs in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth?

From Hello Work to Alo-Happy.

There are plenty of roles for your party members to take on in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. And while the base classes are pretty effective, you may want to change things up eventually. Here’s how to unlock and change to new jobs in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Every party member has their own exclusive starter class that they’ll be able to use from the get-go (heck, Ichiban has two). But much like Yakuza: Like a Dragon, growth and extra stats are gained by jumping around roles and jobs.

When do you unlock jobs in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth?

Once you reach Chapter 5 and proceed along the main quest path, you’ll eventually encounter Substory #31: Let’s Get Alo-Happy! This will take you to the Alo-Happy Tour company, which functions as the job hub for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Rather than take on professions like at Hello Work, Alo-Happy will advertise tours you can go on. There will be a short cutscene, after which you’ll unlock a new job.

You’ll unlock the first one, Aquanaut, for free. Each one after that will cost a base amount of money, as well as require a certain level of personality for Ichiban. Samurai, for instance, will require Confidence Level 5 and a $1,600 fee.

How to change jobs in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

Sadly, you can’t change jobs in the menu like other RPGs. To shift your team’s roles around, you’ll have to head to an Alo-Happy booth, which will let you edit their roles.

From the Alo-Happy Room, you can change jobs, manage skill inheritance, and change characters’ appearance too. Various costumes can be chosen, either job-appropriate attire or outfits picked up throughout the game.

Changing around jobs doesn’t just add more opportunities for stat growth, but also adds more abilities to your pool for Skill Inheritance. It’s very worth spending some time at Alo-Happy in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
