PDAs are something you’ll come across frequently in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and they can become a small headache in the long run.
These digital devices contain vital information, and some of those can be related to a quest, making them quite important. While that’s the positive, they occupy inventory space, and they also have a certain weight. Stack a few of them, and you might end up having a weight issue with your inventory. While the game doesn’t do a very good job of explaining what to do with them, here’s how you can solve the problem.
Do you need to pick up every PDA in Stalker 2?
PDAs in Stalker 2 are of two types. The first type is related to quests, and a brown tick on them usually highlights them. This allows you to distinguish these devices and also ensures that you don’t end up ignoring such PDAs in the first place. Then, there are basic PDAs that have additional information on them.
Once retrieved, they will automatically transmit the information to your personal PDA. They can feature vital data like the location of Stashes. If you’ve bought the Deluxe/Ultimate Edition, you can also find the location of all the Journalist Stashes from these PDAs.
If a PDA isn’t part of a quest, you’ll be able to store them in your storage. Alternatively, you can also sell them in exchange for Coupons or make them part of a barter. This way, you can earn some useful resources and open up space in your in-game inventory.
How to manage Quest PDAs in Stalker 2
So you can’t sell PDAs that are tied with quests, and you can’t move them to storage either. The best solution is to complete the quest as quickly as possible. Once you do so, that specific PDA will automatically disappear from your inventory, freeing you space and weight capacity.
That said, PDAs are important as far as gameplay content is concerned. If you are having issues with them, it’s better to focus on improving your maximum inventory carry capacity as a permanent solution.
