It’s been a long time since I last watched Family Guy, and an even longer time since I found it funny, but it must still have a pretty large following. For that reason, Twentieth Century Fox and Roadhouse Interactive is developing Family Guy Online and has just announced its plans for the open beta.
Family Guy Online will be a free-to-play, browser-based MMO that lets you create your own Quahogian citizen and interact with some of the colorful settings that the Family Guy universe has to offer. I mean, who wouldn’t want to visit James Woods High or the Pawtucket Patriot Brewery? The game will also feature quests and dialogue from writers of the series, along with some of the voice talent from the show.
While the open beta has already begun, at the time of writing the website for Family Guy Online seems to be down. Looks like those of you interested in sharing a beer and fart joke with Peter and Quagmire at The Drunken Clam will have to wait a little longer.
