Harry’s story

Harry Osborn, throughout Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, falls down a pretty dark path. Cured by the Venom symbiote for Oshtoran Syndrome, he lives pretty carelessly for better or worse. Whether it was sneaking through his old high school or vandalizing his own office, he was not afraid to make a fool of himself. When it’s revealed that the Venom symbiote gave him powers (unaware of how things would turn), he teams up with Peter/Spider-Man to take down Kraven. Harry puts up a good fight with him, but Peter ends up getting stabbed and ‘dies’. Venom then attaches itself to Peter, giving him symbiote powers.

Harry, now back to where he started, begins to go downhill with his health. As Venom has grown more attached to Peter, he gets frustrated and demands the symbiote. This is where we see Harry lose that kind-heartedness from the beginning and start to unravel. Venom is then revealed to be highly dangerous, causing Miles to snap Peter out of his delusion. Peter, with the contained Venom, tries to tell Harry it’ll destroy him, but, with no other choice, Harry breaks the symbiote out and merges with it.

Harry Osborn’s ending and future

In a fit of rage, Harry gives in to Venom, transforming him into a hulking behemoth. Harry’s thoughts have also been manipulated, making him think turning everyone into spawns of Venom will heal the world. Luckily, the Spider-Men and Mary Jane stopped him before he could cause more damage. Miraculously, Miles is able to save Harry via his electric power after he’s separated from Venom. This puts him in a coma and leaves him bedridden.

Currently, it’s not known what will happen to Harry. It’s hinted that Norman Osborn, father and owner of Oscorp, is trying to make another cure (which teases a potential Green Goblin arc). However, this hasn’t worked well in the past and Norman knows this. Norman believes the Spider-Men are responsible for Harry’s condition, so he goes to Otto Octavius in prison to hatch a plan for revenge. Harry can’t do anything in the state he’s in but it’s safe to say we’ll see him in the future.
