Where to Find Sage’s Will

Sage’s Wills are typically found in the sky islands, and there are three types of obstacles to overcome before collecting one. Some Sage’s Wills are hidden behind puzzles. An example of this can be found in the South Hyrule Sky Archipelago. It’s easy to get there by gliding westward from the Great Sky Island. The coordinates are: -0959, -1750, 1013.

Other Sage’s Wills are guarded by Flux Constructs, which are huge machines made out of Zonai parts. They can be tricky to overcome because they are capable of changing their shape, and they have a weak spot that constantly shifts.

An example of a Sage’s Will guarded by a Flux Construct can be found on Wellspring Island at these coordinates: 3358, 0644, 1290. Luckily, it isn’t necessary to defeat the Flux Construct to grab the Sage’s Will. By using Ultrahand, Link can simply grab the box with the treasure chest attached to it and run away.

Lastly, some Sage’s Wills are guarded by King Gleeoks. These are some of the more fearsome enemies in the game, as they fire with three types of elemental attacks. To face off against a King Gleeok and claim a Sage’s Will, head toĀ  Gerudo Sky at the following coordinates: -4448, -2729, 1419. To get there, launch from the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower.

What Do Sage’s Wills Do?

In Tears of the Kingdom, Link is tasked with addressing four Regional Phenomena. They are located in Rito, Goron, Zora, and Gerudo. Upon completing each regional phenomenon, Link gains a sage from a friend in that region. There is a fifth sage gained after the first four. Each sage follows Link around and has a special ability that takes a few seconds to recharge after each use.

When you have four Sage’s Wills, visit a Goddess Statue and pray in front of it. For the cost of four Sage’s Wills, Link will be able to strengthen his bond with one of his sages. In practical terms, it increases the attack power of the sages.

This is useful for all the sages, as they passively partake in combat against enemies. There are twenty Sage’s Wills, so there is enough to strengthen each sage once. Think carefully before spending the Sage’s Wills because they are hard to come by.

With strengthened sages at your side, tackling the toughest foes becomes notably easier. If you find the sages annoying, or you’re searching for a harder experience, they can be dismissed by accessing the sage’s vow in the Key Items menu.
