UPDATE: Season of Discovery servers are live, here they are:

  • Chaos Bolt (RP-PvP)
  • Crusader Strike (RP-PvP)
  • Lava Lash (RP)
  • Living Flame (PvP)
  • Lone Wolf (PvP)
  • Wild Growth (Normal)
  • Penance [AU] (Normal)
  • Shadowstrike [AU] (PvP)

Updated 11/30/23: Due to the popularity of the Crusader Strike RP-PvP realm, Blizzard opened another RP-PvP realm: Chaos Bolt.

As you can see, two of the servers appear to be AU-specific. Also, there appear to be two PvP servers, one RP server, one RP-PvP server, and a normal server. In the event any more servers show up, we will add them here right away.

How many servers are in WoW Classic Season of Discovery

While Blizzard has intentionally kept information regarding the servers private, there was a bit of a leak yesterday. For the first time since Season of Mastery ended, the Seasonal tab on World of Warcraft Classic updated to show four offline realms. All of them were titled ‘A Realm’ for the Realm Name, which is because Blizzard does not want to reveal the server names. Doing so can cause unintended congestion and other issues right when servers go live.

Later in the day, the servers disappeared and were replaced with a single server titled “The One Realm”, but based on the realm types of the four servers, players think those were the four servers that will launch with WoW Classic Season of Discovery.

What are the server types?

Assuming those four servers were in fact the real ones, WoW Classic Season of Discovery will have two PvP, a Normal, and an RPPvP server. This sort of gives credibility to the theory that they are the four servers because Blizzard recently confirmed one of the servers would be an RPPvP realm which was unexpected. There does not appear to be a non-PVP-based RP server at this time, though obviously that may change.

Chances are, one of the PvP realms will be west coast-based, and the other will be east coast-based. We should know for sure tomorrow when World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery officially begins.
