Goodbye Sanguine, hello Bursting

The first Mythic+ week of Season 3 is officially behind us. Surely everyone is happy that Sanguine is behind us, but unfortunately, the second week can be somewhat of a pain as well. So what are the Week 2 M+ affixes in WoW 10.2? Let’s take a look!

WoW Season 3 Week 2 M+ Affixes

Were lucky to have Fortified last week, but of course, that means Week 2 is the boss-focused Tryannical. The second tier is Entangling, which is annoying but easy to deal with, followed by the healer-favorite (just kidding) Bursting. Here are all three affixes for Week 2 of M+:

  • Tyrannical (Level 2+ Keys) — Bosses have 30% more health. Bosses and their minions inflict up to 15% increased damage.
  • Entangling (Level 7+ Keys) — While in combat, entangling vines periodically appear and snare players.
  • Bursting (Level 14+ Keys) — When slain, non-boss enemies explode, causing all players to suffer damage over 4 sec. This effect stacks.

The highlight of this week is of course Bursting. When enemies die, a stacking DoT goes on all party members, which can make it tough for healers to keep up with healing. Thankfully, there are ways to deal with this affix.

Tips for dealing with the Week 2 Affixes

First off this week we have Tyrannical, which means on higher keys boss abilities will certainly one-shot you. Bosses also take longer to kill, which can affect some timing-related things. The best way to handle this is to reserve your Bloodlust and Heroism for specific boss encounters.

Entangling is thankfully a pretty easy affix to mitigate. Some classes even have direct ways to mitigate the entangling completely. For example, Druids can Shapeshift, Evokers can Hover, and Gnomes can use Escape Artist. Other movement effect-altering abilities can also help mitigate the effects of Entangling.

Finally, we have Bursting. This is mainly going to depend on you having a quality healer to keep your HP topped off during the Bursting effect. But the rest of the party can help out as well by making sure things don’t all die at the same time. If you get up to say four of five stacks of Bursting, it may be time to slow down DPS and not kill anything else until the stacks fall off.

Knowing what are the Week 2 M+ affixes in WoW 10.2 can help you deal with the affixes this week. This week you will want to reserve Bloodlust/Heroism for bosses because of Tyrannical, as opposed to trash packs last week because of Fortified.
