Yeah! Waluigi’s the winner!
Although Mario Kart Tour was a huge letdown for a lot of people (myself and our own CJ Andriessen included), Nintendo is still going with its “tour” concept, bringing new stages and characters into the mix in a rotating fashion. The next big name to enter the fray? Waluigi.
Not only is his character front and center with this latest update (he’s sporting a “defense-oriented special skill”), but he also brings along his signature level: Waluigi Pinball. Waluigi Pinball is a famous course from Mario Kart DS that immortalizes the insane inverse of Luigi. It managed to make its way into Mario Kart 7, but outside of that hasn’t really had any good reprisals: until now, that is.
In some ways this all feels like a waste, as I’d love to see more DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, to the point where it becomes the Smash Ultimate of kart racers.
