While rumors of Splinter Cell: Conviction coming to the PS3 are hardly new to the web, Ubisoft must be commended (or hated) for sticking to their one console guns this time around. Could that single console loyalty be waning now? If what Ubisoft creative director Maxime Béland says is true, the answer is an obvious yes.

“We’ll have to see what decisions are made by Ubisoft’s management in the future,” Béland said after being asked by VG247 if the series might see other console releases in the future. “The decision for Conviction [being exclusive on 360] was purely a business move. Microsoft have been wonderful in their support for Conviction. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with them on Splinter Cell: Conviction.”

I’m guessing that with the high scores that Conviction has been garnering Ubisoft won’t be kicking themselves too hard by only releasing on the 360 (and PC) this time around. However, I think Ubisoft might be remembering this old adage that I just made up: The only thing better than money, is more money.
