Long division
Ubisoft has announced that it will host a stream to cover whatās upcoming for The Division franchise on April 20. This is apparently āDivision Day,ā but I feel like most of their target audience knows that day as something else.
Clear your calendar for April 20th because we're about to take you on a journey through the past, present, and future of The Division Franchise! #DivisionDay

The festivities will kick off with a look at the year 5 roadmap for The Division 2, which includes some insight into its āDescent game mode.ā I canāt believe The Division 2 has been out for five years. It paradoxically feels like a lot longer and far shorter. I mean, it feels like yesterday that people were complaining that they had to literally queue up to interact with NPCs, because the weird design choice was made to only allow one player to talk to them at a time. In an online game.
Next is a gameplay preview of the upcoming The Division Heartland, which is a free-to-play game in the seriesā universe. Thereās supposedly going to be an open beta ahead of launch, so maybe weāll hear a little about that.
Finally, there will be a āproject updateā for The Division Resurgence, which is an upcoming free-to-play mobile entry in the series. Wait. Where are you going? Come back!
I havenāt really touched anything with Tom Clancyās name on it since Ubisoft started using it to brand a bunch of multi-player stuff. The Division, in particular, sounds like the oil to my water, which is to say, I donāt think I could get into it. Maybe in my younger days.
TheĀ Division stream is set to kick off on April 20, 2023, at 11AM PDT/ 8PM CEST/ 2PM EDT. Youāll be able to view it on Ubisoftās Twitch and Youtube channels.
