On the long road to Diablo III , why not make the wait a bit more bearable with Torchlight ? It’s a game that will surely satisfy your need for pointing and clicking followed by more vigorous pointing and clicking; plus, it’s out, like, right now .
The launch trailer above reminds us that, indeed, Torchlight has launched, presumably out of a cannon of some sort. I have always had a personal love for the Warcraft III /World of Warcraft style of vibrant colors in an otherwise dark setting.
From what I hear — check back soonish for the full review from Jonathan — the only major complaint most people are having is the lack of an online component for which these lootfests are famous for. But I suppose that’s what the upcoming free-to-play Torchlight MMO is going to rectify, right?
And as a $20 budget title, you can’t be too picky (co-op would be crazy expensive to implement, I bet).
