Too soon? Hudson River plane crash already in a game, pulled

Miracle on the Hudson is what it was called…until the Discovery Channel web site pulled it. Flight sims sometimes suck anyway, but ones based on the real-life experiences of the passengers of US Airways Flight 1549 would have to be bad for different reasons.

Starr Report actually previewed it before it was pulled:

One screen features “options” including these announcements: “Our flight is going to crash!” “Time to panic, we may not survive!” “Put your head down. Brace for impact.” I kid you not.

In the game it seems that you’ll either succeed by hitting the water, or lose by crashing. Discovery posted the video game as part of its special, “Hudson Plane Crash: What Really Happened,” which aired last Wednesday.
