Green Means Go
There are over a hundred shrines in Hyrule, and each of them offers unique puzzles and combat scenarios to overcome. The Tokiy shrine (sometimes incorrectly called the Tokki shrine) presents a creative puzzle that requires out-of-the-box thinking to solve.
This guide will explain how to find and complete the Tokiy shrine in Tears of the Kingdom.
Tokiy Shrine Location in Tears of the Kingdom
The entrance to Tokiy shrine is located in West Necluda, north of Meda Mountain and not too far from the east side of Oakle’s Navel. The coordinates are: 2510, -2108, 0010.
Tokiy Shrine Crystal Location
To get to the shrine, enter the cave and follow the path until Link runs into a Shock Like. It is possible to ignore it and run past it. For those who want to defeat it, dodge the electric balls it spits out, then attack the tongue when it’s visible.
Eventually, Link will reach an area containing a large crystal glowing green. It shoots a beam of light in the direction of the shrine. The objective is to get the crystal to the shrine. This isn’t easy, because the path to it is fraught with obstacles.
Tokiy Shrine Solution
Pick up the crystal and walk in the direction of the light beam. It leads to a slope where boulders are rolling down. Although Link is slower when he is holding the crystal, it is still possible to make it past the boulders with some smart timing. Wait until there is a gap between the rocks then scurry past. The gaps between the boulders are large enough to avoid getting hit.
Upon reaching the second pond, place the crystal down and look up the slope where the boulders are falling. There will be two light poles illuminating a cave entrance. Enter the cave to retrieve an Eightfold Blade from a treasure chest. After returning to the crystal, continue down the path until Link reaches an intersection. Take a quick detour to the left to defeat the Bubbulfrog and grab a Bubbul Gem before heading back to the crystal.
The correct path is the one on the right, but boulders are rolling down it. Wait for a boulder to start rolling then hit it with Recall. It will roll back into its chute, giving Link a chance to scramble up with the crystal. At the end of the path, there is a dead-end where the shrine is located. Place the crystal at the foot of the shrine to unlock it. There are no more challenges after this, and all that’s left is to enter the shrine and claim the Light of Blessing.
Collecting Light of Blessings is an essential part of getting Link ready for his big battle with Demon King Ganondorf. The Light of Blessings can be traded for greater stamina or additional heart vessels. Hence, it’s wise to never ignore any shrines that are encountered.
