Can’t it just cost something soft and silky smooth?
How much do you love Dark Souls? Enough to buy a deluxe strategy guide for Dark Souls III that costs double the price of the game itself? Because that’s what Bandai Namco and Prima Games are offering you.
Now, admittedly, the Dark Souls III: Estus Flask Edition strategy guide does look really cool. In it there’s a 320-page strategy guide, a 192-page journal, a sword-shaped metal bookmark that has some lore connections, and a resin replica of the trusty Estus Flask all put together in a neat wooden-looking box.
But at a whopping $129.99, is it worth it? For some, I guess. Maybe you could fill the flask up with some cider and take a swig every time your character needs to heal. You’d be paralytic by the first boss, but it might be enough to forget the pain in your wallet.
It’s due to be released as a limited run on April 12, the same day as the game itself. You can pre-order it through the Prima Guides website.
