In an update releasing this Thursday for The Sims 4 all gender boundaries will be removed from the game, meaning you’ll be able to dress your sim in every piece of clothing regardless of their gender. Going one step further, players can switch Sims’ genders on the fly as well as say whether or not a Sim can reproduce.

Fantastic news for a series that has always been quite inclusive, as it was one of the first games to include same-sex marriage since the initial title released in the year 2000. The executive producer of the game told The Associated Press that this update has been in the works for over a year with a collaboration with LGBT advocacy group GLAAD.

Bravo EA and Maxis, now if only other companies would follow suit.
