The Darkness II darkens retail shelves on October 4

2K has announced today that The Darkness II will hits shelves on October 4 in North America, and October 7 internationally.

This means that developer Digital Extremes won’t be taking a summer vacation as they work furiously to make sure the game is done on time for this fall’s release. It also means that I expect 2K Games will hire Mike Patton (who voices “The Darkness” in the upcoming shooter) and one of his bands (I’ll take Fantomas, but a Mr. Bungle reunion will do) to perform at E3 somewhere. Right?
