The BioShock 2 cover art holds a secret (Update)

Yep, the box art for BioShock 2 sure does look similar in style and substance to the first ga–whoa. Now wait just a minute! What … what is that? Look to the left of the Little Sister’s head! What is that thing?

After asking around the office, here’s what we were able to establish as possibilities:

• A ghost
• An alien
• More specifically, an underwater alien thing from James Cameron’s The Abyss
• The Creature from the Black Lagoon
• “That meme with the Asian dude holding out his hand and then crushing whatever was in it”
• Fish (pfft, yeah right)

What do you make of this, Destructoid community?
