Bandai Namco has pushed out another character trailer for its upcoming fighting sequel Tekken 8, showcasing another veteran roster member ready to step back into the Iron Fist Tournament — And you better practice your curtsy, bucko, as its none other than the melee millionaire herself, Lili Rochefort!

As you can see from the new trailer, Lili returns with all the grace, beauty, and smug self-confidence that we’ve come to know and love from the Rochefort Enterprises heiress, who is sporting an absolutely darling new outfit, complete with a frilled dress, leather waistcoat, and a brand new pair of boots, all of which still fits with her iconic Goth Lolita vibe. Perhaps more notably, our lady appears to have adopted a new feline friend, Salt, who accompanies her to the stage of battle.

Can’t believe Lili became a cat person, maybe she does care about others after all.

Regarding the action itself, we can see that Lili’s balletic, dance-like punch and kick strings are present and correct, along with her acrobatic corkscrew attacks. The trailer also emphasizes her swift backspins, a key element of Lili’s offensive, which allow her to deftly avoid incoming attacks before immediately following up with a counter. The trailer ends with Lili once again frustrating her longtime rival, Asuka Kazama, before celebrating with Salt, who looks frankly like he doesn’t give two catnips.

While I’ll never claim to be a great Tekken player, Lili is my girl and is easily the character I’m best with. While I had no doubt in my mind that she would return for the new sequel, it’s nice to see the confirmation, and I absolutely love her new look… and kitty.

Tekken 8 is currently in development for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X. It is tentatively expected to launch late in 2023 or early 2024. Be sure to check out the previous trailers for  Jin Kazama, Marshall Law, Nina Williams, King, Paul PhoenixJack-8, Lars AlexanderssonKazuya MishimaJun Kazama, Ling Xiayou, Asuka Kazama, and Leroy Smith.
