Following in the footsteps of Fire Emblem last week, Mega Man is now the second franchise to have another arrangement revealed for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Following an old habit of the franchise, the new arrangement has gone back to the frequently referenced Mega Man 2.

This time the new arrangement is for “Flash Man Stage”, home of the time-stopping robot master. The man responsible for the track is Keiichi Okabe. You can listen to the new song below.

You’ve probably heard some of Keiichi’s works before. He’s contributed to numerous Tekken games, as well as Super Smash Bros. 4. However, you’ve likely more recently heard his name from Nier and Nier: Automata. Needless to say, the man has a pretty strong track record when it comes to music.

It should be noted that there are around seven weeks left before the release date of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. If the pattern remains consistent, that means only seven more arrangements to be revealed before launch. There will almost certainly be more included in the game, but knowing these reveals will end soon is kind of depressing. Nothing like seeing a new song appear in the evening, just before heading to bed.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches on Nintendo Switch December 7.
