Nothing’s been indicated as to why the date shifted. But hey, that’s a little bit of Mario slightly earlier than expected.
Warp pipe to the future
Before April arrives, we’re due for at least one more blast of information about the upcoming film. Nintendo has confirmed that the final trailer forĀ The Super Mario Bros. MovieĀ will air on March 9 in a special movie-focused Direct. The company also says no game information will be included in this Direct, so bad news for anyone hoping for a Mario game to pop up out of the warp pipe.
And honestly, I’m not sure how much more I need to see about the film before I walk into a theater. While I’m still a little iffy on some aspects, I was already in for a viewing when I heard Jack Black’s Bowser for the first time. Anything else, all the fun jokes and references, that’s just bonus.
