Uncover all the levels buried underneath the sand.

No two worlds are alike in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and nothing proves this more than World 4: Sunbaked Desert. Many levels here are hidden completely from players, leaving you explore the overworld just to find them all.

For many of these levels, you simply just have to walk to their locations in the desert to make them appear. Others require clearing nearby levels or uncovering a secret exit. There are 36 Wonder Seeds in total to find in World 4 of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and you’ll need all of them if you want to achieve 100% completion in the game.

To help you out, here is where you can find every level in Sunbaked Desert, in the order that they appear in your course list. You’ll also find unlock conditions listed for every hidden level, so use this list to get every Wonder Seed and Flower Coin you can. Good luck!

Ninji Jump Party

To find this level, travel through the sand waterfall to the north of the Oasis on the Sunbaked Desert map. You’ll pass right through and see the Ninja Jump Party stage appear. Completing this stage will unlock the Rhythm Jump Badge.

Yes, there is a second Poplin Shop in the Sunbaked Desert. This vendor actually sells three Wonder Seeds, so you don’t want to miss it! To find it, climb the stairs to the immediate right of the Break Time! Bouncy Tunes level.

Follow the path and turn left into what might appear to be a wall. This will reveal the secret passage where the Poplin Shop is located.

Where to find Captain Toad in the Sunbaked Desert

While this doesn’t count as a “level,” you can find a secret path leading to Captain Toad in the Sunbaked Desert. To find this, move to the right of the Rolling-Ball Hall level. You’ll enter a secret path, and if you’re in the right spot, you’ll see a prompt to press the A button. Press it and you’ll enter a pipe.

You’ll find yourself back in World 3, but in a spot you couldn’t see before. Walk to Captain Toad and talk to him, and he’ll give you extra flower coins for your efforts. Don’t miss him!

Where to find the second hidden Captain Toad in the Sunbaked Desert

Believe it or not, there’s a second hidden Captain Toad in the Sunbaked Desert as well. To the left of Secrets of Shova Mansion, you’ll see a path leading to seemingly nowhere. Walk down this, and you’ll find you can slip under the overpasses above you.

Travel through here, and you’ll quick find a secret path leading to a pipe.

Go to the location as seen in the screenshot above, and you’ll see a prompt to press the A button. Press it, and you’ll enter into a pipe.

This will take you to a small island in World 5, where Captain Toad will await you. Talk with him, and he’ll give you 50 Flower Coins. Put that money towards Badges or Standees!
