No more Ranked Akuma for thee
Capcom have announced that an update will be winging its way to Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection today, hoping to take care of some online issues and remove some troublesome bugs.
More matchmaking filters will be coming to the PS4 and PC editions of the retro collection (the Xbox was omitted due to Microsoft’s own matchmaking process), while lobby issues will apparently be “improved”. This will hopefully remove the sometimes buggy process of putting together an online ruck.
Speaking of internet wars, Akuma will be banned from play in Online Ranked for Super Street Fighter II Turbo. The Lord of Hado is infamously bust in even the most intermediate players hands, hence his being banned from all competitive tournaments for decades. Looks like you’re gonna have to go back to O. Sagat from now on.
One last tweak allows Street Fighter III: The Next Generation and Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact to output their audio in stereo. Although this patch is expected to roll out on PS4, Xbox One and PC today, a Nintendo Switch equivalent is “coming soon.”
Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is available now.
