Where to begin Final Fantasy XIV All Saints Wake 2023 and enter the Sneaky Hollow

The Halloween event once again turns players into FFXIV NPCs.

Final Fantasy XIV’s spooky festivities are a little late this year, but there are still a few treats to go around. In the FFXIV All Saints Wake 2023 seasonal event, you can finally score a new seasonal emote that isn’t food-related, plus a few decorative bats.

The FFXIV All Saints Wake 2023 event begins in Old Gridania (X:10.4, Y:8.4). Speak to the Adventurers’ Guild Investigator waiting there, who offers you The Fright Stuff quest. Completing this year’s event rewards you with All Saints’ Charm emote and the Wall-mounted Vampire Bats housing item.

The Fright Stuff

  • Speak to the Adventurers’ Guild Investigator
  • Talk to the Pumpkin-headed Apparition
  • Speak to Papa Gruff twice under the bridge near the Leatherworkers’ Guild
  • Accompany Papa Gruff to visit the Off Duty Sargeant
  • Take Papa Gruff to the Cowering Boy
  • Visit the Uncowed Girl with Papa Gruff
  • Search for the Voidsent

Papa Gruff offers the quest A Charmed Life after completing The Fright Stuff.

A Charmed Life

  • Speak to Papa Gruff beside the Pumpkin-headed Apparition
  • Search for the Voidsent at all three locations marked on the map
  • Use the emote /allsaintscharm on the Voidsent
  • Speak to Papa Gruff at the Amphitheatre
  • Finally, speak to the Adventurers’ Guild Investigator

How to enter the FFXIV Sneaky Hollow

After completing The Fright Stuff and A Charmed Life, speak to the Unusual Usher (Old Gridania X:10.1, Y:9.1) to visit the Sneaky Hollow. The Inscrutable Imp and Unsavory Imp will turn you into FFXIV NPCs by speaking to them and answering a few questions.

How to get old FFXIV Halloween event rewards

These aren't the All Saints Wake 2023 rewards, but they're some of the old FFXIV Halloween items like the Pumpkin Flower Vase and Caged Wisp housing items.

There’s good news and bad news for those of you seeking more spooky fanfare. The good news is, you can still score some of those old All Saints’ Wake event goodies. The bad news is you’ll have to pay for them.

Halloween rewards from old events, like 2022’s Wake Doctor’s Attire, Eat Pumpkin Cookie emote, and Authentic Caged Wisp housing items, are available in the Mog Station. There’s also the Clowning Around face paint, and Magic Trick emote, both of which grew quite popular with the MMO’s community. But personally, I’ve gotta recommend the Authentic Pumpkin Flower Vase. It’s $5, kind of gross for a single in-game housing item, but it’s among my favorite decorations.

There’s not much to the MMO’s Halloween event this year, and this one came particularly late in the season. Perhaps it’s due to the Dawntrail Fan Fest tour or Final Fantasy XIV’s busy schedule of 10-year Anniversary celebrations. Whatever the case, these shorter, lackluster seasonal events do happen from time to time. And for those of you super bummed by a shorter Halloween event, don’t forget the FFXIV Fall Guys Collaboration begins soon, so there’s still plenty to do.
