Electronic Arts, alongside developer Respawn Entertainment, has announced that its critically acclaimed RPG Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has received a new update that optimizes the adventure title for use on next-gen platforms PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The update, which is now live on both platforms, improves Jedi: Fallen Order‘s performance on both PS5 and Xbox Series X/S and specifically improves post-processing on PS5 and Xbox Series X only.

The Xbox Series S edition now runs at 60 FPS – up from the previous count of 45 FPS. The Xbox Series X edition now has both “Normal” and “Performance” options, the former featuring 4K post-processing and a resolution range of 1512p to 2160p, while the latter mode runs at 60 FPS in a resolution range of 1080p to 1440p.

For PlayStation 5, the frame rate has been boosted to 60 FPS, also up from the previous count of 45 FPS. Post-processing has increased to 1440p, while dynamic resolution has been disabled entirely, with the action now rendering at 1200p.
