Spectre Divide September 24 update patch notes: Sponsor, Map update, and more

Spectre Divide has dropped its September 24 update, and it is bringing some cool changes to the Sponsor abilities, and more.

If you are playing this game for a while, you might face some issues with the usability of the Sponsor utilities. Worry not; Mountaintop Studios, the developers, have fixed this issue to make the process much smoother.

Apart from that, Spectre Divide has also got a map update like Mill, Skyway, and Metro, along with some quality of life improvements to enhance your gameplay experience.

Sponsor updates

We wanted to enhance the responsiveness of equipping and using sponsor utility. The following changes aim to improve the “snappiness” of thrown projectile sponsor abilities, allowing for smoother and earlier use without precise timing.

General changes

  • Equip animations for all thrown abilities can now be canceled 0.2 seconds earlier by activating the ability (beginning the throw).
  • Throw animations have been sped up by 20%.

    • Vector Wall (E)

Quality of life improvements

  • Improved the performance of weapon muzzle flashes.
  • Enhanced performance of the Cyberlord weapon set VFX.
  • Improved first-person equip animations for smoother transitions.
  • Added hype music to the Victory Scene at match end.
  • Added hype music to Flawless Round.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug causing teammate legs to appear jittery when strafing.
  • Resolved an issue where Umbra’s Glare Burst would sometimes fly away and briefly reappear.
  • Fixed the sound effect not playing when a new endorsement level is unlocked.
  • Made minor improvements to translations.
  • Fixed the Helion melee popping into view when equipping while using Adrenalink.
  • Resolved an issue with BattlEye failing to load files at game launch, causing audio issues.
  • Fixed performance drops that could occur when using equipment at elimination or round end.

Hotfixes

  • Fixed an issue where ultra wide mode was broken when aiming down sights with sniper rifles (removing stretched resolution).
  • Fixed visual effects for Duality persisting on teammates.
  • Resolved a bug that prevented preview videos from playing in the store.
  • Fixed several rare crashes.
