The new hotness in televisions is the Bravia HX800, a 3D TV set to release in June. More models will follow, all with 200Hz frame rate tech to show you images in 3D.

With the television will come four 3D-compatible games, totally free! Here’s what you’ll get in the box:

  • WipeOut HD
  • MotorStorm: Pacific Rift
  • Super Stardust HD
  • Pain

I’ve checked out both Super Stardust HD and MotorStorm: Pacific Rift in 3D. As for MotorStorm, it’s almost exactly as you’d expect, although it’s a bit prettier. Nice, but nothing fancy. Now Super Stardust? Wow, it looks fantastic! It seems like you can reach out and grab things on-screen. Very impressive, I thought.

As you might have heard, a simple firmware update will enable 3D on your PS3. Four games right out of the box? Not a bad move, Sony.
