Sony: PS Move doing ‘extremely well’ at retail

Sony has declared that its glow-in-the-dark Wiimote, known colloquially as PlayStation Move, is doing “extremely well” in the sales department, but it doesn’t want to share any actual numbers. Pfft, like Sony has to prove itself to the likes of you.

“PlayStation Move is performing extremely well at retail and we’ll have plenty of new games coming to keep consumers busy this holiday from our first party studios and publishing partners, such as SingStar Dance, The Fight, and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11,” boasts Sony’s Patrick Seybold.

“With a growing array of content options on PlayStation Network, including today’s announcement that Netflix will be natively accessible on all PS3, we are confident that the PS3 will be the console of choice for many families this holiday and beyond.”

I bought a Move this week in order to deal with some upcoming reviews. So far I’ve not had a use for it, save for the five minutes it took for me to get bored of Sports Champions (otherwise known as Not-Wii-Sports). Something better be coming soon, because if this turns out to be another PSPgo situation, my mockery of Sony will know no bounds. It will be so  harsh that it will make every N4G user on Earth spunk blood.
