The Game Developers Choice Awards took place last night in San Francisco, and Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim took home top prize as Game of the Year. It beat out hit titles Portal 2, Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Batman: Arkham City, to take top honors.

Bastion and its creator, Supergiant Games, both saw plenty of recognition at the event, taking home a wins for Best Downloadable Game and Best Studio Debut, as well as nominations in the Best Audio, Best Narrative and the Innovation Award categories. If you haven’t yet, play this game now!

As you’d expect, Portal 2 also won several awards.

The GDCA event was hosted by Epic Games’ Cliff Blezinski. The guy looks goofy in a tuxedo, but he did a great job of hosting, cracking a few great zingers to win the crowd over.
