Ubisoft opened up their Skull and Bones presentation this year by noting that “piracy is dead.” The setting? The Indian ocean, and your task is to steal “every last fucking coin,” as the game’s lead put it on stage.

The “essence” of Skull and Bones is said to be a “shared world where every player encounter matters” (cue eye roll). If you’re interested you can check out the cinematic trailer below as well as some actual gameplay!

At the very end of the clip they gave us a window — 2019. How generous!
