Sims 4 U up? trailer gives you all the feels with a look into its upcoming Lovestruck EP

Changing up your Woohoo game.

Ever since Maxis Studios revealed the Season of Love roadmap, Simmers have had their eyes set on the “Flirtatious” expansion pack. And now, thanks to the U Up? trailer, we finally have official confirmation on the release date for the new EP, Lovestruck, set for July 25, 2024.

There’s a lot to unpack in the U Up? trailer, starting with the reveal of the online dating app Cupid’s Corner. Using this, we no longer have to go through the hassle of finding that special someone by chance, as it relays any information about single Sims. It also has several preferences to tweak, such as your Sim’s sexual orientation, Woohoo interests, and preferred age range.

Like real-life dating apps, you’ll need to match with other Sims, which can then lead to a pleasantly romantic date. Of course, things can go wrong, as we’ve probably all experienced in the Sims world, but it may end up in your favor. This can also depend on the character’s Turn-Ons and Turn-Offs, where you’ll need to watch your date’s Romantic Satisfaction. I’m curious to see how this will differ from a Sim’s standard dislikes and likes, as it may expand this feature further.

The one thing I was extremely excited to see was the return of the Heart Bed. This piece of furniture has become an iconic piece of furniture within the community since it was first introduced in the original. During that time, this bed was the only way you could Woohoo, an interaction that has certainly branched off in The Sims 4. Now, you don’t necessarily need this item anymore for Woohooing, and the Lovestruck EP even offers a new public area to do it with the Romantic Blanket.

The hysterical new dance moves are another stand-out feature from the trailer, in which Sims perform an erotic dance battle against one another. I suppose everyone has their own kinks, right? This also permits you to dress up in the bedroom to entice your partner more, including eggplant, firefighter, and cupid costumes.

If you’re already hit by the love bug, pre-orders are available. Those who buy this before Sept. 5 can get their hands on the Heartbreak Happens digital content. The pack provides the Cry Me a River Eyeliner, Herbert Heart Plushy, and Basic Breakup Double Bed. It’s perfect for when things go wrong in the relationship, allowing your Sim to cry out the heartbreak.
