When does Sims 4 Lovestruck come out?

The Sims 4 Lovestruck expansion pack will be released on July 25, 2024. While there isn’t a timeframe set, it will likely debut around 10 a.m. PT, based on previous launches. You can also get a few pre-order bonuses when you purchase the pack before Sept. 5. Check out our pre-order guide to see what content is available.

What is the new map in Sims 4 Lovestruck?

The official Sims 4 page confirmed that the new map will be Ciudad Enamorada. The three neighborhoods presented here offer plenty of date spots, from a quaint garden to a lively nightclub. There’s also a new hotel location for those who want the night to continue.

Vista Hermosa acts as the suburban area of Sims 4 Lovestruck. Then, you can head over to the central square of Plaza Mariposa. But if you want a taste of elegance, check out the Nuevo Corazon, the uptown destination of Ciudad Enamorada.

All new romance features in Sims 4 Lovestruck

The Sims 4 Lovestruck livesteam revealed a ton of new stuff for the expansion pack. One of the first noticeable changes is the introduction of Romance Dynamics. You’ll see this feature under Household Relationships via Create A Sim. Select it to change how partners will act towards one another.

There are four types of Romance Dynamics: Steamy, Strained, Unpredictable, and Wholesome. For example, Steamy couples won’t be able to keep their hands off each other, while Strained will be the opposite. If you’ve played Growing Together, it relatively functions the same as Family Dynamics.

In addition to Romance Dynamics, Sims will have Turn-ons and Turn-offs. You can basically think of these as likes and dislikes in a partner. Specific characteristics are at play here, in which Sims could favor others who have ambitious goals. This feature will impact the way a date goes, and it could either lead to a life of romance or end badly.

A Sim’s Turn-on and Turn-offs will impact the other’s Attraction and Romantic Satisfaction levels. Go to your character’s bio to see how these levels are faring, including a few ways to improve them.

Romantic Explorer and Paragon Partner are the two new Aspirations. Paragon Partner focuses on the upcoming polyamory feature, where Sims will want to have more than one partner. As for Romantic Explorer, these characters seek adventure in their relationship, trying new things to spice up their love. Create A Sim also showcases new traits, Romantically Reserved and Lovebug, which will only be available in the Lovestruck pack.

Sims can dress up for the romantic occasion with the adult costume collection to set the mood. I will say that these outfits are a tad bit out there, especially with the reveal of the catfish ensemble. I’m not sure how it will entice other Sims, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

The catfish outfit isn’t the end of the whacky costumes, including eggplant and apricot-esque cosmetics. There’s still some clothing for everyday wear, and no, it’s not another fish costume. These items cater more toward long nights out and alluring pajamas.

Lastly, Simmers can try out the new online dating app Cupid’s Corner. Log onto the app to match with others and plan out dates on the upcoming map.
